Alan Lamont graduated from Portsmouth University School of Architecture in 1984 and was an early adopter in the use of 3D CAD in Design. He currently holds the position as Vice President for Project Delivery at Bentley Systems.
During his career at Bentley, he has been involved in early BIM deployments in the German automotive industry under the banner of “digital factory”. He took his teams on to support deployments in major events such as the summer and winter Olympics, London 2012 being the most recent project, the Asian Games and several mega projects across Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Alan enjoys the ability to be able to work closely with Iconic design and engineering firms such as Foster & Partners, Zaha Hadid, Atkins and Arup but at the same time working with large construction and construction management firms such as Consolodated Contractors, CH2MHill Mott MacDonald, SWECO, Ramboll and Mace as well as global owner operators such as Fraport, Daimler, BMW and Volkswagen which has given him his extensive foundation for deployments covering asset lifecycle management.
